THE SCIENCE OF INVENTION (NPR, joe’s big idea)

While working on the science desk at NPR, my colleague Madeline Sofia and I conceived of and launched a six-part animated series for Joe’s Big Idea, a column examining the pursuit of ideas in science. Madeline later became host of the NPR podcast Short Wave and was a fantastic collaborator, as a scientist-turned-journalist herself. Together, we worked with six scientists on their personal narratives of discovery.

For the animation, I collaborated with a talented crew of animators for various episodes, including Qieer Wang, Frederic Siegel, Daniela Sherer, Avi Ofer and Alan Jennings.
